The nation’s largest child identity program, Ident-A-Kid will be taking pictures at North Garner July 29th for tracks 1 & 2 and on August 29 for tracks 3 & 4. The representative will arrive at 7:45 am. The cost for the identification card is $8.00 for 1 card and $10.00 for 2 cards. There will be more information sent with the students at a later date.
The North Garner family would like to invite the rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and their parents to our open house. This event will take place on July 1st in the school auditorium for tracks 1-3. All rising 6th grade students on tracks 1, 2, and 3 are to come from 3:00—5:00. All rising 7th and 8th grade students on tracks 1, 2, and 3 are to come from 5:00—7:00. On July 24th, all track 4 students will attend from 5:00 – 7:00. At this time, schedules will be given out and transportation will be available to answer any questions. Parents may also pay the $10.00 activity fee. This fee covers the student’s agenda, lock, and picture ID. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 662-2434. Our office will open at 7:00 am.
Wake County health officials are reminding all parents of the importance of Tdap booster shots for middle school students, and that students entering the sixth grade are now required by state law to receive the shot.
Materials, including posters and letters to parents of fifth-grade students, will soon be distributed through the Wake County Public School System.
