Distribution of Track 1 and 2s merchandise has been postponed until early October due to circumstances out of our control. The new distribution dates are tentatively Thursday, October 9th from 2:00 - 6:00 pm and Friday, October 10th from 12:00 6:00pm.

Track 3 and 4s orders are due Monday, October 8th. Distribution dates remain Wednesday, October 15 and Wednesday, October 22nd. However, these dates are subject to change.

SPAN Access Problem

August 19 The Student/Parent Access Network (SPAN) application is temporarily unavailable to students and parents from outside the WCPSS network due to a technical issue with the server. The SPAN application still remains accessible within the school buildings and administrative facilities.

An announcement will be made when external access to SPAN becomes available.

Cheerleading Information

The 2008-2009 North Garner cheerleading interest meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 26th from 2:30-3:30. The tryouts will be from August 27-29 from 2:30-4:30. The interest meeting and tryouts will be held in the school auditorium. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Denetera Cobb.

Skate Night at Skate Ranch

Directions: Take 40 West to 440 East
Take the Capital Blvd exit 11B toward

(Between McDonalds/Burger King)
You will see Skate Ranch on the left

Any students that are not picked up by 10:00 will become the responsibility of Skate Ranch. If you have any further questions, please contact Liz Gary.

SPAN Accounts

The Student/Parent Access Network accounts (SPAN) for all parents that filled out forms during the open house for track 1-3 have been created. An email will be sent to your email address with initial activation instructions. You are required to use a one-time URL contained in the email to activate your account. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Rogers at cgrogers@wcpss.net.

NGMS Football Conditioning Camp

North Garner will be holding football conditioning camp for 7th and 8th grade students August 19th 21st from 2:30 4:30 pm. Parents are asked to promptly pick up participants at the gym. The 2008 season will start Monday, August 25th. Participants are asked to have the following:
A completed middle school physical form signed by as doctor before they can practice.
White t-shirt
Black or navy blue shorts
Football cleats are not mandatory, but they will help performance

We are looking for a big turnout. Come out and get ready for the upcoming season. We are looking forward to seeing you soon.

Ident-A-Kid Identification Cards

The nations largest child identity program, Ident-A-Kid will be taking pictures at North Garner July 29th for tracks 1 & 2 and on August 29 for tracks 3 & 4. The representative will arrive at 7:45 am. The cost for the identification card is $8.00 for 1 card and $10.00 for 2 cards. There will be more information sent with the students at a later date.

Dont forget to sign up for your volunteer clearance with Wake County Public schools. This must be done every school year. It can be done at any Wake County Public School not just the one your child attends.
